Odd Man Out was founded in 2022 by Mary Kate Melnick as a writer-friendly alternative to the volume based publishing model, prioritizing quality over quantity and the power of a great song.
Alongside her work at OMO, she serves as Head of Licensing and Creative Services at ATO Records, working with label partners such as Psychic Hotline and The Control Group/Valley of Search. Artists she has recently worked with include Black Pumas, Alabama Shakes, My Morning Jacket, Sylvan Esso and Amyl and the Sniffers.
A lover of fragrance, stained glass and most things green, she makes her home in Nashville, TN.
